Mission Statement:

To inspire & enable all youth ages 6 through high school graduation to realize their full potential as productive, responsible & caring citizens through the development of a positive self-image & self-reliance.

Objective:

To give every child access to a safe, nurturing educational environment that positively impacts their lives.

How do I know this program is needed?

Pacific County is challenged with dwindling resources and growing poverty, creating critical hardship for area youth:

  • 58% of the children are eligible for reduced-price school lunches.
  • WA State Family Council research assigned Pacific County a ranking of SEVERE as the state’s highest risk for children and youth.
  • Pacific County ranks two times the state average for instances of child abuse and neglect.
  • The Healthy Youth Survey show portions of Pacific County have twice the state average of hospitalized domestic violence victims, exceptionally high infant mortality rates, very high drug/alcohol use, suicide ideation, school apathy and overweight teens.

What does Boys & Girls Club Provide?

Boys & Girls Club of Long Beach Peninsula serves 200+ children and youth of Pacific County. The program started November 14, 2008 and offers fun, safe, and educational after school activities for children and youth ages 6 through high school graduation.
